Zaagi-Too-Wad

The Zaagi-Too-Wad team supports 2SLGBTQIA+ people navigating housing insecurity. The 2SLGBTQIA+ community is over-represented in the houseless population, and Zaagi-Too-Wad is the only team that focuses solely on this community.

The team works with individuals to get and retain housing and provide access to other available community supports.

They also work to prevent individuals from becoming houseless if emergencies arise, and can initiate a rapid rehousing response when necessary.

Zaagi-Too-Wad is an Ojibwe phrase that translates into English as “If they like it.”
