Position Title: Life Skills Coach
Positions Available: Full-Time
Hours of Work: 30-40 hours per week
Hours Available: Days, Evenings, and one day per weekend
Wage: $27.61 – $36.30 per hour
The Zaagi-Too-Wad Client Life Skills Coach provides one-to-one support and group classes to participants and peers involved in Sunshine House programs. Life Skills Coach provides additional support to Housing Focused Support Workers to assist participants in achieving goals related to their individual case plans. The Life Skills Coach works under the Sunshine House Director of Community Support Services, the Zaagi-Too-Wad Housing Focused Support team, other staff, and community members to ensure that participants are receiving the best possible support when working with our housing programs.
Required Qualifications:
- An understanding and commitment to the principles of harm reduction, Indigenous cultural resurgence, and social justice.
- Experience facilitating activities and developing programming.
- Experience creating and conducting training and development.
- Knowledge and experience maintaining accurate care plan records.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Lived experience as related to Sunshine House programs, or a combination of lived experience and professional training.
- Knowledge and/or practice of Indigenous ways of being and knowing.
